Some mornings, when I’ve got the time and the energy, I blend up something special; not just for me, but for my garden too. A quick smoothie packed with healing ingredients to nourish my body… and then I take the scraps, blend them again and pour that goodness right back into the soil.
It’s not an everyday routine (yet), but when I do make space for it, it feels like a full-circle ritual. A quiet way to feed myself and land at the same time.
This morning, I made one of my favorite blends: banana, kiwi, flaxseed, oat milk and a drizzle of raw honey. Just a simple smoothie, but full of everything I needed.

What’s in My Cup:
Kiwi – great for digestion and gives my skin a lil’ glow
Banana – gentle energy and potassium for my body
Flaxseed – supports hormones and keeps things moving
Raw honey – natural sweetness with healing vibes

Something about sipping it slow while the sun peeks through the window makes me feel centered, ready to face whatever the day may bring. But what I really love is what happens after. Instead of tossing the peels and scraps, I blend them again, with a little water and take that mix straight to the garden. It’s not fancy compost. It’s just love in a jar. Fruit scraps like these add trace nutrients to the soil, help feed the good microbes and remind me that nothing has to go to waste if I don’t let it.

This isn’t something I do every day. Honestly? It’s just a couple times a week when I have the time and energy. But I’d love to build toward doing it every morning. It feels good to start my day by feeding both me and the land.
And when it’s done, that leftover blend of peels and pulp becomes a quiet offering to my soil. It’s a small act of care, but, over time, it adds up. Little by little.
Want to try it too?
I made something just for you. It’s not only cute, it’s also useful. Win-win.
