This morning, I stepped outside and let my fingers brush against the soft leaves of my mint patch. The sun was bright and warm on my skin. One of my favorite things to do is tap the stems so the scent of peppermint can fill the air. I always feel fresh, sharp and alive after taking in a few whiffs of peppermint. Talk about all-natural aromatherapy straight from the garden! After savoring the moment and taking it all in a bit, I pinched a few sprigs, gave thanks and brought them inside.

Mint is one of those plants that just gives and gives. She asks for little and offers everything: soothing digestion, calming nerves and cooling spirit. I brewed a simple tea with the leaves, nothing fancy. Just hot water, a steep and stillness.

My husband and I sipped in silence, letting the mint speak. That quiet, grounding moment was a prayer. A reminder that wellness isn’t always in a pill or a program. Sometimes, it’s in the soil… in the hands that tend it… and in the cup you share with someone you love.
Grow your own if you can. And if not, let this be your gentle nudge to begin.
Love always,
